The Berg app for iPhone and iPad

Hey there, Class of 2019! Welcome to Berg, a mini social network that helps you find your friends in Annenberg Dining Hall.

// Never sit alone again
Berg shows you a list of everyone who is currently eating in Annenberg. When you walk in the building, you can "check in" with your table number to let others know where you are. You can also add a short status about the food, your classes, your roommate, or whatever else is on your mind. Its like Twitter for Annenberg.

// Connect with your friends
Berg links with your Facebook account and lets you know when one of your friends checks in! You also have the option to star specific users by tapping on them to bring them to the top of your feed.

We created Berg in order to solve one of the perennial problems of freshman life at Harvard: that awkward moment when you dont know where to sit in the dining hall. By connecting you with friends at mealtimes, Berg aims to create a better sense of community for the 1,700+ freshmen at Harvard.

Gabe (18) and Mason (18) are both studying Computer Science at Harvard. We created Berg as our CS50 final project during our freshman year. When were slaving over p-sets, we continue to improve and expand the app. We hope youll join us in building the Berg community!
